Energy Bracelet
Chet Domanski
Polished steel tubing
A thought-provoking example of upcycling, the Energy Bracelet is made from worn production tubing from Alberta’s oil and gas wells. The pipes are sliced and machined for use as jewelry, but the exterior, which is worn from contact with the Earth is left unfinished. Thus, the process of oil and gas production actually generates the individual beauty of each piece. Forging an even closer connection to place and the narrative of the material, each bracelet features the coordinates of the source well engraved into it.
