An Empathic Adventure

An Empathic Adventure is about pushing the latitudes of how, and who, we design with. This means bringing into action new roles for designers, stimulating collaboration between different disciplines, and considering who to involve within the process and how we can best empower their expertise to make a meaningful contribution. An Empathic Adventure is a co-design project that brings the stories of elderly people together with the expertise of home-care nurses in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The aims of An Empathic Adventure are two fold; offering new ways to tell the stories of elderly people in order for organisations to innovate how they support them, and the design of tools, methods and strategies care professionals can use to leverage their knowledge and skills and find new opportunities for transforming their experiences into new, relevant and meaningful innovative ideas for ageing care.
